The Mockingbird Early Music Ensemble was formed in 2003 by enthusiastic proponents of the historically informed presentation of music created before 1750.  Based in Oxford, MS, they perform on recreations of period instruments, the originals of which are found in museums throughout Europe.  These instruments include recorders, viole da gamba, harp, baroque guitar, psaltery, crumhorns, and harpsichord.

Music and poetry of love and renewal, celebrating the confluence of spring,

J.S. Bach’s birthday, and the Bahá’í new year!  (A little early this year so as not to conflict with Easter.  Leprechauns welcome!)
